Pick a route & departure
Browse scheduled routes with fixed departure times. Choose where you board and where you get off — the app shows live seats left for your stretch.

Book your seat
Your fare is calculated and locked at booking — no renegotiation on the day. If a seat frees up earlier, the waitlist promotes you automatically.

Board with your ride code
The driver checks a one-use ride code so the right person boards the right ride. Completed rides show your history and receipts.

Seat-by-segment availability
Seats are tracked per stretch of the route, so mid-route boarding is possible where full-journey buses would be "full".
Locked fares
The price you are shown at booking is the price you pay — no surprise adjustments on the day.
Approved drivers only
Drivers and vehicles go through an admin approval process before they can accept bookings.
Stay in the loop
Bookings, promotions from the waitlist, and ride-day changes arrive as in-app and push notifications.
Book for someone else
Book on behalf of a guest who doesn't have the app — they still get their own ride code.

Questions
How is this different from hailing a taxi?
LusakaRide is scheduled: routes and departures are planned, prices are locked at booking, and capacity is tracked per segment. You book knowing exactly when and where you'll board.
Can you book for someone without the app?
Yes — bookings can be made on behalf of a guest. They get their own ride code and the driver sees them on the manifest.
What happens if my ride is full?
You can join the waitlist for a segment. When a confirmed booking is cancelled, the next waitlisted booking is promoted automatically and you're notified.
How do drivers get onboard?
Submit your details in the driver app. Our team approves your account and vehicle before you can appear on any route — passengers only ever see approved drivers.
